undefined

Drawn as advice, The Tower stops being a general symbol and becomes a specific answer. What The Tower means as advice

The advice position asks a pointed question, and The Tower answers in its own idiom: the lightning that tells the truth. Upright, the idiom is fluent — change, upheaval, chaos, awakening — which means what the situation is asking of you is currently clear, available, and working in your favour. This is one of the cleaner placements for this card.

One more consideration: as advice, The Tower often describes something the questioner already senses. the lightning that tells the truth is rarely news; it is confirmation. If this page feels like it is telling you what you knew, that is the card doing its job — the value is in the naming, which is what makes action possible.

The Tower reversed as advice

When this card reverses as advice, timing is often the issue. The Tower's the lightning that tells the truth may be something that was true, or will be true, but is not cleanly true now — change, upheaval, chaos, awakening as a season rather than a day. Give it a fortnight before deciding the reading was wrong; reversals are frequently early rather than false.
