Is The Star a good card to get as advice?

Upright, yes — The Star as advice is read as an honest, workable signal about what the situation is asking of you. The quiet after the storm in this position rewards directness: name what the card describes and it becomes something you can work with. Reversed, treat it as a draft rather than a verdict and give the situation a fortnight before re-reading.

The Star as Advice — Tarot Meaning

Major Arcana · The Star · Keywords: Hope, Faith, Renewal, Purpose

undefined

The Star as advice is one of the more searched meanings in tarot, because the advice position stops describing and starts prescribing — the posture, move, or mindset the situation is asking for. Here is how this card — the quiet after the storm — reads when it lands there.

What The Star means as advice

Start with the card's nature: Hope, faith, purpose, renewal, spirituality. as advice, that nature turns toward what the situation is asking of you. Hope is the domain in play, and upright it shows up undisguised — hope, faith, renewal, purpose operating in the open. The reading is rarely subtle here; the card is telling you plainly.

There is a second layer worth noting. The Star carries Aquarius and Air correspondences, and the quiet after the storm under those influences suggests the situation has momentum, not just meaning. Cards do not only describe states; they describe directions. The direction here is the one hope takes when it is honoured rather than resisted.

The Star reversed as advice

Do not read the reversal as the opposite of the upright meaning; read it as the same meaning under pressure. The Star reversed as advice keeps the quiet after the storm on the table but moves it somewhere harder to work with — underground, where what the situation is asking of you gets answered by avoidance instead of honesty. Naming the avoidance is usually the whole work.
