Is The Chariot a good card to get as action?

Upright, yes — The Chariot as action is read as an honest, workable signal about the concrete next move. Opposing horses, one direction in this position rewards directness: name what the card describes and it becomes something you can work with. Reversed, treat it as a draft rather than a verdict and give the situation a fortnight before re-reading.

The Chariot as Action — Tarot Meaning

Major Arcana · The Chariot · Keywords: Willpower, Determination, Success, Focus

undefined

The Chariot as action is one of the more searched meanings in tarot, because the action position points at the concrete next move — the smallest honest step that changes the pattern. Here is how this card — opposing horses, one direction — reads when it lands there.

What The Chariot means as action

Think of the smallest honest step as the frame and The Chariot as the picture. The frame asks about the concrete next move; the picture shows opposing horses, one direction — Control, willpower, success, action, and determination. Put them together and the upright meaning is: the concrete next move is currently characterised by willpower, determination, success, focus, and the card endorses that state rather than warning against it.

Numerologically and elementally, The Chariot speaks of willpower with Water's signature. In practical terms: expect the answer to behave the way Water behaves — and plan accordingly. Tarot's elements are not decoration; they are instructions about pace and texture.

The Chariot reversed as action

Reversed, The Chariot as action turns the reading inward. The opposing horses, one direction does not disappear — willpower, determination, success, focus inverted become delayed, private, or blocked. Where the upright card answers the concrete next move openly, the reversal suggests the answer is unfinished: felt but unspoken, intended but unacted, approaching but not arrived. Read it as a draft rather than a denial.
